Ultra Creamy Avocado Dip

Ultra Creamy Avocado Dip - Overhead 2

Can we take a second to talk about dips?

Because I am totally, utterly, obsessed with dips.

Give me salsa?  I’ll start dunking.  A bowl of hummus?  I’ll dive in head first.

Ultra Creamy Avocado Dip?  All this girrrl needs is a spoon.

Snacking is without doubt my dieting achilles heel.  I love pretzels, and Goldfish, and Wheat Thins, and basically anything that’s carby, crunchy, and not resolution-approved.  Which, speaking of – How are your resolutions fairing?  Are you 12lbs lighter?  Is your skin all aglow?  Are you a fitness maven that could rival Jillian Michaels?

Because I, on the other hand, skipped the gym last night to take a nap at 7:00pm.

And as if that wasn’t pathetic enough, I did so with all the lights on in my apartment.

Every. Single. Light.

Clearly, I have some work to do.

But workout failures aside, there is the matter of snacks.  Or more specifically, my need for a carb + a dip snacking satisfaction.  Apparently pretzel rods and Nutella do not make for a rockin’ body (neither does napping) so sometimes I need to tone it down.  I suppose I could just have willpower and enjoy a snacking life of celery and raisins and other atrocious health foods, but… no.  I mean, have you seen me hungry?  Nay, experienced me hungry?  It’s like an outtake from Halloween.

So yeah, restrictive snacking just ain’t my thang.  Which is exactly why life needs more avocados – It’s the lazy girrrl’s secret to healthy dipping.

Ultra Creamy Avocado Dip - Straight On 1

We’ve all heard about the benefits of avocados, so I won’t bore you with the healthy fat, antioxidant-loaded details.  The important thing to know is that this dip is the lightest, fluffiest, creamiest guilt-free nosh I have ever had.  So smooth, so creamy, so ridiculously tasty!  Plus, it’s ready in under 10 minutes.  10 minutes!

Because just when this couldn’t get better, it did.

Other VIP details:  This keeps nicely in the fridge for about 5 days, the recipe can easily be doubled or tripled, and it tastes great with just about anything you pair it with.

Ya know… as long as you stay awake to enjoy it.

This sounds delish and VERY healthy! LOVE it! Protein packed too! Also love that the greek yogurt takes up a lot of mass in this since avocado is high in fat, good fat, but fat none the less.

thank sophia – it also keep this dip from turning that yucky brown color, which is an added bonus!

Girl, I am totally making your luscious dip for the Super Bowl! We shall compare notes as to how we and others enjoy our dips. Love that you added tahini, too. But, hey…I’m totally with you on the nap thang. When your body or brain needs it, you must cave. Sleep is good for your metabo, therefore it must be the second best thing to the gym. Right? Thanks for sharing!

lol yes I try and make that kind of rationale on the naps too! and tahini is sooo good, obviously I could just eat it on it’s own but it really added the perfect flavor and texture to this one! thanks stacy :)
